What is Integrative Health?

Integrative Health seeks to understand you as a whole person. This approach ensures that your mind, body and spirit are in alignment with your health and wellness goals. Integrative Health also uses the Functional Medicine approach—addressing root cause issues within the body but with additional alternative therapies recommendations so all aspects of your health is addressed for true wellness.

My story

Several years ago, I began experiencing a range of internal health challenges. Despite my efforts, I struggled to lose weight and my blood sugar levels remained unstable. At the same time, my daughter was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, which prompted me to seek more effective and meaningful solutions for both of us.

Dissatisfied with the results from conventional medicine, I transitioned to working with a functional medicine practitioner. With their guidance, many of the issues that had been affecting me significantly improved. Once I completed treatment, I inquired about similar care for my daughter, but learned that he did not treat pediatric patients.

This experience inspired me to pursue further education on my own, leading me to enroll in an integrative health course. Through this journey, I have come to understand the fundamental role that proper nutrition plays in overall health. When the body lacks essential nutrients or experiences imbalances, symptoms and dysfunction can develop. By identifying and addressing nutrient deficiencies early, there is a greater potential to prevent or alleviate future health concerns.
